Well, first off, HAPPY PRIDE! If this is your first time here, welcome to OSG, we’re all queer here, so have a great Pride Month!

HI EVERYONE. We’re still alive over here. That “short” leave of absence turned into 4 months without content – yikes.

Here’s what happened. Sarah is finishing up her classes and she’s getting ready to get her own classroom as a full time special education teacher. Scott is working full time at a job he really enjoys but really tires him out. I was basically sequestered at home until I got the vaccine in April, because I’m immunocompromised. At the beginning of May, I got hired (part-time) as our church’s Communication Coordinator.

So needless to say, we literally weren’t getting together to play games like we did, and Sarah and I just didn’t have time to do anything at home either. We literally have a huge pile of games waiting to be sorted and played.

What does this mean for Open Seat Gaming?

1 – We WILL be back. Our hope is to have a handful of articles this summer, probably starting next month. So for our loyal readers, be patient! We’re returning soon.

2 – For our publisher friends, goodness me I’m sorry. We have a bit of a backlog on review copies (I think we have over a dozen) and while we didn’t get your stuff done before they released, we will put stuff out about those games as soon as we can (once again, this summer is our hope).

3- As soon as we deal with the backlog, we will be sorting out a new way of doing things and hopefully doing Kickstarter reviews and whatnot by the end of the year.

Thank you for being patient with us! Between the pandemic and all three of us going through a heck of a lot of life changes, it’s been quite a wild ride.
