Description: Do you like to dance while playing games? Do you think your moves are “So Funky?” Then this party game is for you. Funky Chicken is the sequel to Happy Salmon, and you can mix it in for an even more hilarious game.

You have to do the movement on the card with another player. The movements that are on the cards are Bump, Swing, Spin, and the eponymous Funky Chicken.  If you can’t find a partner to match your movement with, then you can put the card on the bottom of your deck and move on to the next one. The player that goes through their deck of cards while completing all of the movements wins.

Review: Funky Chicken is a frenetic, ridiculous, and hilarious party game that is for the whole family. This game would be great in a variety of situations: parties, schools, camps, and team building exercises. The cards are made of a sturdy plastic, so they aren’t likely to be damaged even with lots of plays. The neoprene pouch to store the game is very practical and portable. It’s easy to understand what movements are required from the cards’ art as well. If movement is tough for your game group, or you don’t like speed games, then Funky Chicken may not be what you are looking for.

If you are thinking about mixing Happy Salmon and Funky Chicken together, you may want to play each games separately first so that, when they are combined, everybody knows what each card means and requires. The combination of two games leads to two hilarious, madcap minutes. It isn’t possible to be in a bad mood after playing Funky Chicken and Happy Salmon mashed together.

Try, Buy, or Deny: If you enjoy Happy Salmon, then you will definitely appreciate Funky Chicken. Kids and kids at heart will all enjoy this game.If you want to get your game group moving and grooving, Funky Chicken is right up your alley and a definite Buy!

If you aren’t sure that all the movements involved are for you, I would call this a Try. Either way Funky Chicken is an excellent addition to North Star Games’ Happy Planet line of games and we’re glad to have it in our collection for our game nights!

Game On!
